Coming to St. Andrew's for the first time?

Whether you're searching for a new church home, a student at Emporia State, or just passing through, we'd love to meet you!

It's intimidating to walk through the doors of an unfamiliar church. We know that. This section of the site is just for you, to answer some of the questions you're asking. You might be wondering when we worship, or where St. Andrew's is located, or what sort of clothes you can wear. We'll try to set your mind at rest so you can relax and enjoy your first time at our beautiful, historic, and spiritually-enriching parish.

May God bless you in your searching, and bring you to a safe and nurturing home. We hope it will be St. Andrew's!

I've got questions...

What can I expect on a Sunday?

What do I wear?

Is there childcare available? What about parking?

How can I join the church?
See Father Marc about joining the Episcopal Church or about membership at St. Andrew's in particular.

Where is St. Andrew's?

We're at 828 Commercial Street in downtown Emporia, KS. That's at the corner of Commercial and 9th. We're across from the Granada Theatre and the Emporia Arts Council, if that helps. We're the church with the light-up sign in the front. [contact us]

When can I visit?

Worship Times
You get the best sense of a community by coming to a worship service. They're at.
  • 9:30 am on Sundays - a service of Holy Eucharist with music and a choir. This is in the main church (we call it the Nave), and is a bit longer than an hour
  • 6:00 pm on Sundays - Part of our ESU outreach.  Canterbury Campus Ministry meets in the Parish Hall.   We mix this up between Holy Eucharist / Compline and Bible Study with time for reflection and conversation. (This ministry follows the ESU academic calendar.)

Office Hours
The Office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm . Friday the Office is closed/ this is Father Marc's day off.  Father Marc is available also by appointment, please call the Church Office to schedule.  He is happy to take you on a tour of the church and answer your questions.
